How You Can Use Ning

Profs, Invite Your Students

One way that I hope NING is used is by fellow colleagues inviting their students onto our site. One thing I did recently was to require those going into ministry to work at networking by joining this site. It's been a good thing to do and broadens the larger audience.

Invite Your Academic Colleagues

I hope that many professors will also take the opportunity to invite other colleagues in your institution and other institutions.

Invite Other EducatiContinue

A Suggestion to Expand Your Ministry

There's lots of ways we can expand our ministry.

One of the ways I'm trying to be more disciplined in is by launching a podcast and by TRYING to get involved with blogging more.

Sometimes I am so much in the Christian world that I don't have as much outreach to the lost community as I would like. A podcast is sort of my way to rehearse my faith and to try to articulate what Christianity is to people who may want to know more about Jesus and the Christian faith. I want to speak to the lost comm… Continue

The Amazing Nature of the Internet

I'm so excited about the fact that we've had new people joining the NING site from all over the U.S.

Just today we have Jerry Cobbs and Dave Mowry-- one from Washington State and the other from Alabama. Two thousand miles away from one another, and yet both having heard about the NING site. Incredible.

This is after "no" promotional work and without me personally knowing these two gentlemen.

What's more, we now have Dr. Bill Blanchard, author of the newly-published book, Church Structure That… Continue

Connecting: Why Bother?

It's only the second day this NING site has been up, and I'm so glad that really sharp people are already joining.

In a day when there's lots of, if not too many, things to join or be a part of, there are SOME things worth doing. I think this is one of those. Why?

1. Leaders (Students, Doctoral Candidates, Ministers and Educators) Are Enriched By Other Leaders

Every true leader understands the value of befriending and interacting with other key individuals across his or h… Continue

Freddy, Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for creating such a wonderful network for Christian educators.

You mentioned you grew up not far from CNC, and I noticed some UT pictures on your page. Are you originally from East TN?

I am also a former Fuge worker. I worked at M-Fuge in Mobile, AL one summer and Centrifuge Traveling team the next. Great experience. And a SBTS alumnus as well. I loved my time there. Would really have liked to do my Ph.D at Southern, but due to family and financial responsibilities, I just couldn’t work it out. Plus, since I already had a firm theological foundation from SBTS, I figured it would be challenging and interesting to be a missionary-learner of sorts at a state university.

So who was your major professor at SBTS during your doctoral study?

Thanks for recommending NAPCE. I’d been looking into joining that organization and now will definitely join. I’m in my second semester of doctoral studies and hope to teach Christian ed at a college/seminary one day, so I’m definitely looking for friends, networks, and mentors in Christian education and NAPCE sounds like a great association to be a part of.

Also, I checked out your site iLeadit.com. It’s very impressive, and I pray that Lord continues to bless your teaching and ministry.

Blessings,
Ryan Baltrip

Dr. Cardoza,

Thank you for the welcome. Funny how things happen: I'd no idea you were faculty at Talbot (sorry :-). I actually work at Biola, so I'm on campus 5 days a week. My office is in Metzger Middle East (I'm currently the Institutional Research Analyst for the university). I shall return the invite: stop by any time (for data needs or otherwise).

Dear Cardoza,
Thank you for welcoming me to your network of partnerships. I am grateful that we are working together to promote God's glory world-wide. I look forward for continued communication as we plan to make arrangements for an invitation for you to visit us in Uganda some day or visit us online on http://fullgospelministries.ning.com to see our program in action before you think of visiting us in person. I pray for you.
Regards,
