As a student, I think denominations are very useful but not worth dying for. I think they provide a unified set of values so you can work with most churches in the denomination without having to interrogate them about their beliefs to make sure you don't think they're crazy. I think pooling resources is effective for sending foreign missionaries or statewide youth leaders that can advise all the churches. But, it seems like our generation could do without the denominational arguments, so we don't emphasize our denomination as much.

So Freddy, what questions are your students asking about denominations? What do they think denominational bodies provide? How effective do they think we are? Do they think about us much?
